Morning Worship

What is it like?

A range of styles from Traditional to All-Age

When is it?

Sunday at 10am

Our Morning Service is the main service in our worshipping week - where the majority of the Church family come together to worship.

The first Sunday in the month is All-age worship. The church family remains together for the whole service which will contain elements suitable for a variety of ages.

The second Sunday will normally start with songs and prayers and then continue with an activity or address aimed at our younger worshippers. After about twenty minutes, there is a choice for worshippers.

The service continues in the Sanctuary with more songs - from classic Wesley hymns to modern worship songs - and a sermon delivered either by Rev Phil Peacock, or by a local preacher or visiting minister. Holy Communion will be celebrated.

However, if you prefer a more relaxed and informal approach, you are invited to move into one of the side rooms where the Reflect group meet to discuss the theme of the service over a cup of tea or coffee. Members of the group are welcome to re-join the main congregation for the celebration of Holy Communion.

The younger members of the congregation (whether they attend often, or are just visiting) are welcome to join our Young Church in the Hall and Coffee Lounge for games, songs, drama and crafts also exploring the theme of the service.

On the third Sunday of the month, the traditional service in the sanctuary, runs alongside a less formal style of worship – Taste -- in the coffee lounge. Taste is suitable for all ages of worshippers.

On the fourth Sunday, there is a traditional service in the Sanctuary and the Reflect group will leave this service for discussion in a similar way to the second Sunday.   Alongside this is an Informal Worship service run in the Coffee Lounge which is suitable for all ages of worshippers.

On fifth Sundays, Messy Church /Taste style worship will usually run alongside the traditional service.

We have a selection of toys, books and colouring activities available for young children at the back of the church. If you would like a bag for your child to use during the service, please ask a Steward who will be happy to provide one for you.

After the service we would love to meet you over Tea or Coffee which is provided from the hatch near the hall.
